1. Who we are
SkulSync is provided by SGR Solutions Ltd, No 1 Rinji Shopping Complex, Sharada, Kano, Nigeria ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data on skulsync.com.ng and in the SkulSync, SkulSync Pro and SkulPay services.
2. Our role
Schools that use SkulSync decide what information about their students, guardians and staff is recorded. For that information, the school is the data controller and we process it on the school's behalf and on its instructions. For information you give us directly, for example when you contact us or book a demo, we are the controller.
3. Information we collect
- School records entered by schools: student, guardian and staff details, academic records, attendance, and fee and payment records.
- Staff account information: name, email, phone number, role and sign-in activity.
- Information you send us through our contact form, WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Technical information such as device, browser, IP address and service logs.
4. How we use it
- To provide and support the services a school has subscribed to.
- To process fee payments through licensed payment partners.
- To send SMS and email messages that a school asks us to send.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use student data for advertising.
6. Children's data
Much of the data in SkulSync is about children. It is entered by schools and is visible only to school staff whose role requires it. Students do not have accounts on SkulSync.
7. Security
Each school's data is kept separate from every other school's. Access is controlled by role, connections are encrypted, and important actions are logged.
8. Retention
We keep school data for as long as the school uses SkulSync. When an account is closed, data is deleted as described in our account deletion policy, except records we must keep by law, such as financial records, which are kept for [N] years.
9. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, or receive a copy of your data. For data held by your school, please contact the school first; we will help them respond. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
